Decimal, fractional & implied probability

Decimal odds
Decimal price includes stake return in one number. A £10 bet at 4.0 returns £40 total if it wins (including the £10 stake). Implied probability ≈ 1 / decimal, before margin removal.
Fractional odds
Fractional profit odds (common UK) describe profit relative to stake: 5/1 means £5 profit per £1 staked plus stake back. Convert to decimal: (num/den) + 1.
American odds
+200 and −110 styles are common in US-facing apps. Your feeds may mix formats; normalise before you plug numbers into tools.
